Mule Deer Hunting & Whitetail Deer Hunting
I've hunted whitetail and
mule deer in Alberta with Brent Butterfield several times. I
saw the largest whitetail buck that I've ever seen in the wild
on his family's ranch property. The largest whitetail buck I've
harvested with Brent is mid 150's B & C. There is also the
opportunity for mule deer on the property. Brent and Marcie
are hard working and very friendly. I would strongly recommend
deer hunting in Alberta with the Butterfields.

hunting deer ,both withtail & mule deer as well as elk.

is by far the best outfitter I've ever hunted with. Brent Butterfield,
owner and manager, has not only been my hunting guide the last
4 years, but has also become a close friend. His honesty and
consideration that he shows to his hunters, makes you feel right
at home. Brent and his outfitting group put in a lot of time
throughout the year, monitoring the movement and patterns of
mature Whitetail and Mule Deer Bucks. This gives hunters a better
chance to take the buck of their dreams.
In my 4 years hunting with Stalk'em Rock'em Outfitters, I have
a 100% kill percentage. I've taken a nice wall hanging buck
every year thanks to Brent and his group. One of my favorite
hunts was when Brent actually rattled up a nice mature Whitetail.
Brent knew there was a good one in the area, and within 10 minutes,
the buck was almost in our lap. I was able to take him at approximately
40 yards. No matter how long you've hunted, that will get your
blood pumping.
If hunting in Canada is something you've always dreamed of doing,
but never have due to the uncertainty of being taken advantage
of, then please give Brent a call. I guarantee you will fall
in love with his family, his honesty, and his thoughtfulness,
not to mention great food and great hunting.

"Brent and Marcie have perfected an unusual Whitetail and/or
Mulie experience for the serious deer hunter. It is unusual
because they take a small number of clients and make sure that
each of them is treated like family. They have some of the very
best territory I have ever seen to place their hunters in prime
forested and open terrain habitat. The big deer of both species
are plentiful and the trick is to not take the first above average
deer that you see. There are plenty of trophies available and
they will make sure you have ample opportunities."

Dear Brent,

the hunt of a lifetime". The quality of the animals was
matched only by the service you provided. I've never had the
opportunity to see so many quality bucks. Because of your efforts,
I was able to harvest my best buck and he wasn't even the biggest
deer we saw. Thanks also to Marcie for preparing that absolutely

I booked a hunt with Brent
Butterfield and Stalk em Rock em Outfitters in November of 2007.
I had never hunted with a guide and had no idea of what to expect.
From the time that I was picked up at the airport I was treated
like one of Brent's family. In fact after meeting Brent's family
and spending time with them I was pleased to have had the chance
of meeting such great people.
As for the hunting! On my first morning of the hunt Brent put
me in a shooting house overlooking a large tract of rolling
land. At first light I was amazed to find a 130's class eight
pointer within 100 yards of me feeding off towards a woods as
the light filtered into the day. At home in Indiana that would
have been a tagged trophy, but I had a personal goal of a minimum
150" 5x5.
I continued to watch the tall racked eight pointer work his
way off, and saw a couple of large coyotes moving throughout
the brush. Only one and a half hours into my first morning hunt
my patience was tested. A beautiful ten point hopped a fence
on the tracks of four doe's approximately 500 yards out. This
gave me time to study the deer and determine he was the animal
I was looking for. They worked their way across a ridge and
held up on a ridge top a little over 300 yards from my hunting
box. I placed the crosshairs on the buck's spine and slowly
squeezed the trigger. I heard the impact and watched as the
buck stumbled down the far side of the ridge and out of sight.
After getting in touch with Brent and sharing my 1 ½
hour of what had taken place, Brent decided to call his brother
to set a small post and drive in case the buck was still alive.
It only took a couple of minutes and the buck was dispatched
for good not far from where I had last seen him following my
shot.
That was it!!! In less than two hours I had taken the largest
deer in my life. There are some huge deer on Brent's property,
both whitetail and Mule deer. I would highly recommend Brent's
hunting service to anyone looking for an opportunity to hunt
a potential Boone and Crocket in Alberta.
